Customer Reviews: Useful but with limitsAugust 27, 2010 Nadine Slavinski We used this book during a cruise through the Turks and Caicos and found it to be useful in many respects, but not easy to use. The entries for every port or anchorage are extremely wordy and it is difficult to separate the general pilotage notes (useful when entering a port) from the general information at a glance. The information certainly is good and helped us visit places we might otherwise have missed. Still, the islands have many reefs and rocks and this book left a lot of guesswork to us when weaving our way in through passages that seemed clear on the page but weren't so clear when approaching. Still, that is the nature of sailing in the Turks and Caicos and sailors should be able to make their own calls without blindly relying on the printed word. I can recommend this book with some reservations; it certainly aided our cruise though it is not entirely comprehensive.
