5 out of 5 stars Best Disney Cruise Planning Book   February 19, 2010

I first discovered the Passporter Guide to Disney Cruise Line in 2008 when I was planning our family's first cruise. A cruise is a significant expense for my family, representing several years worth of vacation budget for us, so I wanted to make sure I did all the pre-planning I could to make sure we got our money's worth. The Passporter Guide helped me to do just that! It has so much information about itineraries, ships, staterooms, maps, ports of call, restaurants and entertainment on board...you name it. It also includes many handy planning and packing worksheets and -- if you get the spiral bound or deluxe editions -- organizer pockets for storing information about your travel arrangements, booking, pre-cruise hotel stay, your plans/tickets/receipts for each day of the cruise, and is well-written and entertaining to boot! Even though I was a newbie to cruising I arrived knowing exactly where to go and what I wanted to do, avoiding much aimless wondering and confusion. I have found it just as helpful for planning my second and third cruises. Since then I have discovered the Passporter Guides for Walt Disney World and Disneyland and have found them excellent as well.

It would probably be best if I reviewed this book after my cruise; however, I used the 2007 book on my last Disney Cruise. This book really gives you all the information you need and even helps you prepare you for travel. You can use it before and during your cruise. If you think you may be taking a Disney Cruise, purchase this book long before you think you need it. There are tips you can use to book your cruise, like what cabins are better than others, which dining seating you may want, which areas of the ship are noisy/busy, and what your dining schedule may be like. There are also some reviews on shore excursions.

I love these Guides that help prepare you for Amusment Parks.
This title was recommended for a recent cruise.
It was a GREAT investment.
There were a lot of information covered in the book
that I did not receive in advance from Disney.
This book has it all...from sample menus, to best
locations for breakfast and lunch, to lots of wonderful
insider tips.
I am SO glad we bought this book.
We will definitely purchase one again!

5 out of 5 stars Cruisng with Mickey made easy with this guide!   March 7, 2010

I adore this book. If you are going to cruise with Disney, this is the book to have! It explains the unique rotational dining that Disney practices, gives wonderful information on the ports of call that the ships visit and has that wonderful sense of fun that the Marxes put in their guide books.
I found this book to be more useful to me than the website in choosing my activities in port. The ratings of the activities by the Marxes and their friends make it easier to choose what I think my husband and I would like to do.
I love the pockets in the back for notes and those invariable numerous scraps of paper. I have the deluxe version, which allows me to take out pages I don't need on the ship and carry a slimmed-down version...always a plus in my book in these days of limited luggage allowances!
I highly recommend this book for anyone who is planning on sailing with the Mouse!
